    Grand Bassa Superintendent Calls For Patriotism

    Times are hard in Liberia and everyone is holding onto whatever is valuable. But one and, a local government official, Levi Denmah, is not just calling on his fellow compatriots to be patriotic he is acting on it.

    Superintendent Denmah has committed LD$70,000, which constitute his one month salary to the 2018 celebration of August 24th Flag Day in the County. For Denmah, he feels justified by sponsoring the Flag Day celebration with part of his earnings.

    Addressing leaders and students Thursday, August 24th at the 2017 Flag Day celebration, Supt Denmah explained that his commitment is geared toward ensuring a fruitful celebration next year.

    “It is time for every citizen to join effort in giving the Liberian Emblem its relevance,” the Grand Bassa Superintendent said. He was inducted into office on February 13, 2016.

    Amidst the vow of the Supt, it can be recalled he promised to have deposited three months of his salary in the tune of what he considered LD60,000 for the construction of the Fairground road, a promise he is yet to fulfil.

    Meanwhile, in accordance with Supt Denmah disclosure of his monthly salary; mathematically the Vice Juror of the President has earned $1,190,000 (Liberian dollars) from 2016 February to July 2017.
