—Lines His Pocket To Vote For State of Emergency
He prides himself as the cleanest man to sit in the office of a senator, not Senator of Montserrado County. Abe Darius Dillon, calls himself the bright shinning light that will make members of the Liberian upper house to behave themselves and stop sucking the blood of Liberian with corrupt practices.
But it seems Sen. Dillon is drifting fast, with just less than seven months as Senator. Dillon says he will not take any salary greater than $5,000, but many are wondering how could he think about taking $6,000 usd from the government to pass the State of Emergency, when he was doing his job?
A New Dawn newspaper report said Dillon confirmed the story, but he back-peddled and denied it when it started generating heat.
Dillon and his fellow lawmakers have become $6,000 richer in less than two weeks, while thousands of Liberians stay home hungry, they cannot afford a dollar to for food.
All Sen. Dillon needed to have done was to put his signature to the document that he voted yes. In time past, Dillon would fry any lawmaker who attempted to take such “cold water”, and would have demanded the resignation of such a lawmaker.
Dillon has denied the story after he confirmed to reporters that he received the money for some flimsy “operation”. Nobody knows what kind of operations Dillon would be carrying out with $6,000.
