Representative-elect of District #2, Maryland County, Anthony Williams says, “Bhofal Chambers is a wicked man…” He also described Chambers as a man who “is not willing to accept defeat,” adding, “Such a person, you have to be careful with them.”
Rep. Williams, who just elected over Chambers with 84 votes, went on to explain how the former Speaker and District #2 Representative failed to be politically mature as evidenced by his refusal to congratulate those who have defeated him.
“As a matter of fact, for a President (George Weah, Former President) to accept twenty thousand votes and say ‘I leave it’ means that the man means well. If that was Chambers by this time, we are killing one another in Liberia.” Williams noted.
Rep-elect Williams reveals that his rival has never congratulated him after his defeat in the re-run district election.
However, Mr. Chambers in a press conference over the weekend also promised to be more robust in his district and champion the plight of his people. He attributed his defeat to unknown individuals and said Rep. Williams was used to accomplish their selfish interests.
Later the former Speaker Dr. Chambers congratulated representative-elect lately on Saturday using his radio station in the district.
