Grand Gedeh Co.: The residents at Majestic Community in Grand Gedeh County have launched an appeal for assistance for the numeral challenges they’re faced with.
On Friday, February 2, 2024, the head of the community, Beatrice Karpeh expressed dissatisfaction over the many problems they have been going through in Grand Gedeh County.
She said, the lack of safe drinking water, good education environment and a conducive toilet facility in the community has been some of their major challenges over the past four years.
“So, because we lack safe drinking water in our area, our fellow women and children go to nearby bushes just to fetch water from the creeks,” she noted, adding, “Our school going kids would walk an hour distance every day before reaching to their school campus.”
According to her, the lack of good toilets and safe drinking water in our community is creating a serious health problem for the locals. “We are afraid of diseases,” She added.
Madam Karpeh pointed out that since the establishment of Majestic Community in 2019 at Zwedru City, there have not been donations received from NEOs, Government, and even humanitarian organizations in Liberia to lift them out of their problem.
Meanwhile, Madam Beatrice Karpeh is calling on the current Administration of President Joseph Nyumah Boakai, humanitarian organizations, and the people of Liberia to quickly come to their aid.
