Following the cold-blooded murder of the ASP of the Waterloo Police Division,E. J Tucker, another person has been killed. Osman Sesay, 25, was found dead around the market Square on Monday, April 16, 2018, at Waterloo in the Western Rural Area District in Sierra Leone.

The Deputy Spokesman of Police Media and Public Relations Unit, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Samuel S. Conteh said the Homicides Unit of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the Waterloo Police Division was investigating the murder of Osman Sesay.

He confirmed that they are investigating three suspects, identified only as Lamin, Mohamed and Sallay. “These suspects are alleged to be aware of the attack and subsequent killing of Osman Sesay,” he added.

Conteh confirmed that the wife of the deceased has also made statement to the police that linked the three suspects to the death of her husband. Another suspect is on the run. The deceased, Osman Sesay, family sources say was a descendant of Rabbi Chiefdom in the Moyamba District, who recently migrated to Waterloo with his wife before he was brutally killed.

The deceased was a cart pusher and was very supportive to his mother and other extended family members that are staying in the region.

According to family sources, prior to his killing, the deceased had a bitter quarrel with some of his neighbors; among them are the three suspects whom the police are investigating. “These suspects have mysteriously abandoned their houses and went into hiding,” said ASP Conteh.

It could be recalled that the former Crime Officer at the Waterloo Police Division, ASP Tucker was murdered in cold blood in Waterloo.

There is high crime rate in Waterloo, which the police are linking to alcoholism and drug abuse especially among the youths.
