Three children are reported dead in a fire incident that gutted a house at New York Street in Buchanan City, Grand Bassa County. The incident took place on October 25, 2017.
The identities of the children are still unknown, but eyewitnesses said their ages are one year, four years and five years old.
Eyewitnesses told Groove 106FM that the fire broke out late Wednesday night from one of the eight rooms in the house. The fire quickly spread to the remaining parts of the building.
There was no fire fighters available to quench the blaze.
The witnesses stated that fire gutted the house through the lighting of candle in one of the rooms in the house.
All efforts to speak to parents of the deceased children proved futile as they could speak with journalists due to the tragedy that left them shock and grief.
Meanwhile, up to press time Firefighters from the Liberia National Fire Service and other agencies were not seen as the house burnt down completely.
