The school is on 150 acres of land in the villages of Sayuo and Buway in Twarbo Region, Konobo District, Grand Gedeh County, Liberia. Currently, there are 165 students benefiting from the school. The school project was started by Mr. Isaac Monah, a Grand Gedean humanitarian social services devotee.
With employees sharing 10 buildings with students, the Dougbe River Presbyterian School and Church, is closing the gap that gulfs and separates students and quality education due to poverty. And Marie Johnson is offering guidance every step of the way to increase what Mr. Monah has engaged into.
Isaac Tarley Monah was born and raised in Grand Gedeh County, Liberia. He is the founder and executive
director of Dougbe River Presbyterian School. He left Liberia in 1990 because of the civil war. He is married with three children and owns a cleaning company, Monah and Sons. He is an elder at Noble Road Presbyterian Church and lives in South Euclid, Ohio.
Mr. Monah told Groove 106FM said, “There are 165 students in the school. We have 16 employees including nine teachers. Our 10 buildings campus is located on a 150-acre parcel of land. The campus includes a staff quarters.”
According to Monah, the Board of Directors has been “very supportive”. He mentioned Marie Johnson one of the people has encouraged him to persevere and serve the children of Liberia.
