Julius Berrian may be funneling tremendous undercurrent political maneuver into Electoral District #10 to push his supporters to reject the man who beat him at the primaries, Mulbah Morlu. But now, the administrator of the Congress for Democracy Change Electoral District #10 Seaford Miller says Berrian is a waste and disappointment to the Party and the residents of the district.

Mr. Miller said Monday, June 26th, in Monrovia that the election of Rep. Berrian on the ticket of the CDC was a total waste on grounds that the lawmaker has failed to perform his responsibilities as lawmaker.

According to him, the resolution signed allegedly by 34 zonal heads as reported in the media rejecting CDC’s candidate for the district, Morlu, is far from the true and a clever maneuver by Rep. Berrian.

He noted that the leadership of the CDC local leadership’s affirmation of their commitment to supporting the party’s incumbent lawmaker is false and misleading.

He explained that for the past five years Rep. Berrian has been proceeding wrongly in the district, and he (Berrian) has reportedly disconnected himself from the district leadership. Miller told our Correspondent that Rep. Berrian left the party in liability through rental fees.

He said the Party is indebted to its landlord for the past ten months. The structure currently being used as district office, Miller added, Berrian had earlier promised to take full responsibility of the rental fees, but the youthful lawmaker allegedly reneged in settling the rent prior to his resignation from the party. Representative Berrian is yet to comment on the allegations levied against.

According to the resolution giving reasons for rejecting Morlu, Vice Chairman for Mobilization, the 34 district leaders among other things accused the CDC’s primary election commission of denying them from voting as original delegates  vetted by the primary committee to cast their ballots.

According to the zonal heads, the process was characterized by fraud and inconsistencies, and eventually degenerated into conflict.

Berrian, who lost the recent primary to Mulbah Morlu, resigned from the Coalition for Democratic Change, and is now headed to the ruling Unity Party, according to report.
