We will lock down Monrovia, says Mr. Benjamin Sanvee, National Chairman of the opposition Liberty Party, announcing that his party supporters and well-wishers will come out in their droves on today, Saturday, September 9th, when the Party launches it political rally to signal LP Standard-bearer Cllr. Charles Walker Brumskine is elected President of Liberia.

The political festival under the theme, “Green And White Day”, is intended to allow followers, and supporters of the Liberty Party to have clear and smooth interaction with their standard-bearer and vice standard-bearer, Charles Brumskine and Harrison Karnwea, respectively.

Speaking to the Groove 106FM in Monrovia at his Liberty Party’s headquarters at Catholic Junction in Monrovia, the Chairman Sanvee said that every sector of the city is expected to be green and white colors.

He indicated that the attendees will only be Monrovia based, following the Saturday’s event, the Liberty party will continue with its campaign trail and launch throughout the country commencing with Gbarnga, Bong, and continuing to Ganta, Nimba County and the rest of the country.

According to him, it is the day that the partisans and supporters of the Liberty Party will tell the country and the world that the Liberty Party is prepared to take charge of the country.

He added that the celebrations would focus on areas throughout the city and the final destination at the LP’s headquarters, where partisans and supporters will have personal interaction with Cllr. Brumskine and Mr. Karnwea.

He pointed out that officials of the Liberty Party have spent much time in rebranding and creating a new image for the party and Saturday is the day that the Liberians will know the Liberty Party is determined to democratically take the Liberian presidency.

Commenting on the other contenders, Sanvee said every presidential candidate in the 2017 Representatives and Presidential election is major contender for the Liberty Party and that the party will not leave any stone unturned.

Speaking directly of the ruling Unity Party Standard Bearer, Vice President Joseph Nyumah Boakai, as far the Liberty Party is concerned, Boakai is someone who is running from records of a government he serves in, saying that such action of the ruling party puts the Liberty Party in a better position to deal with the Unity Party.
