–Says Int’l Comm. Influence causes Mass Suffering

    By Mensouhn Mendin

Sinoe County Senator Crayton Duncan says President Joseph Boakai has failed the Liberian people and failed to protect the country’s natural resources. He claims that the Liberian President failed to fight against the exploitation of Liberia by the international communit.

Sen. Duncan made the assertion of Thursday, August 28th when he spoke at an intellectual center in Monrovia. According to him, President Boakai is not brave enough to save Liberians from the many challenges they are faced with.

Crayton has also frowned on the government for failing to invest in the private sector of the country, adding that the lack of investment in the private sector is the reason for the increase in the unemployment rate.

“The President, who is an old man that barely works, failed to fight the international community to protect our resources from exploitation,” he stated.

The Sinoe County Lawmaker is at the same time accusing the international community of creating hatred and a path of separation between Liberians and Africans in general.

He further stated that foreign nations are using such methods to exploit African countries, indicating that the suffering Liberians are undergoing is due to the international efforts of foreign countries, who have influenced over Liberia.

Reacting to Senator Duncan’s characterization of President Boakai’s administration, the Deputy Information Minister for Press and Public Affairs, Daniel Sando, has described the senator’s remarks as complete “madness”. Mr. Sando scolded, “Something is wrong with the Senator.”

“If a sitting lawmaker can say that the President has failed this country, then it means something is wrong with him,” Sando lamented.
