Two lawmakers of Grand Kru County have undertaken a road rehabilitation project for easy access in the County. Senator Peter Coleman says the rehabilitation work from the Norkia  to Sasstown to the beach in Jora Statuary District have been completed.

The county legislative caucus chairperson said the project is a joint legislative initiative in collaboration with District #2 lawmaker Jonathan Fornati Koffa .

The two lawmakers of the county embarked on the initiative to create access to road for citizens in the county.

According to Sen. Coleman, the rehabilitation work on the Buah road has been completed by Golden Veroleum Liberia ( GVL) currently operating in Wedabo, Graway and the Trehnbo communities.

It can be recalled that sometimes last year, Senator Coleman constructed the Sassatown-Workie and Nyankumpo roads, connecting other nearby towns in Dordor Statutory District.

The Grand Kru lawmaker informed journalists and the people of the county that plan is underway by the county administration and the legislative caucus to repair the Norkia, Barclayville road that has not been rehabilitated for a long period of time.

He told Groove 06FM Maryland county correspondent via mobile phone that they have started holding discussions with development partners to buttress their efforts. Sen. Coleman added that the county will also benefits from a sports stadium and vocational training center when the loan is actualized.

Meanwhile, Sen. Coleman who chairs the Senate Committee on Health, informed citizens of the county recently that the Liberian Senate is currently validating a draft budget submitted by President George Weah.

The administration of President Weah is accessing a US$536 million loan intended to pave the coastal road from the port city of Buchanan, Grand Bassa County, to Greenville, Barclayville to Pleebo, Maryland county.
