The former Assistant Development Superintendent of Grand Bassa County, Adonie Greaves, is calling for the Independence of the Church. Greaves is urging pastors to maintain the Independence of the Church.

Mr. Greaves said people in the church are from different political parties; therefore, religious leaders should not use the Bible as a campaign booklet to hide behind and use God’s name as they present their candidates’ platform.

Adonie Greaves stressed that Pastors and Religious leaders should maintain and protect the integrity of the Church.

Serving as proxy for Dr. Gbehzohngar Findley at the Light House Ministry Church Sunday Sept. 3th, Greaves asserted that when pastors take one side in the Church, it compromises the Independence of the Church.

At the same time, Adonie is calling pastors to play the role of civic educators in the Church and community, encouraging people to vote on the day of election.

He spoke on the theme: “The Role of The Pastor and Religious Leaders in The Elections.”

In a related development, a member of the media team propagating the campaign for the presidency of Sen. George Weah and supporter of Dr. Gbehzohn Findley says Liberians are not looking for talkers, but doers.

Adonie Greaves, Grand Bassa County Former Assistant Development Superintendent said that Liberians are looking for implementers as their leaders and not talkative.

According to him, amongst the presidential candidates, Ambassador George Weah is the best choice and called on all eligible voters to give him their votes.

Greaves made the comments Tuesday, August 29th, when he appeared as guest on a local Radio station in Grand Bassa County

Adoni Greaves served as Development Superintendent for Grand Bassa for 6 years, coming on board 2011.

Mr. Greaves in 2016 asked for leave from the Government of Liberia to go on a study leave in China. He is currently on vacation in Liberia.
