    Four People Die in Fire Incidence

    Four people died instantly when fire gutted the house in they were living. The fire incidence occurred early Wednesday morning in Tiene Town, Tewor District, Grand Cape Mount County.

    The victims are a mother and her three children. They are Fatee Sarnor, mother; Asha Sarnor, a 9th grade student; Abubakar Karneh, a Grade 6 student, and Mambudu Sarnor, Grade 4.

    The cause of the fire has not been established. The house has four bedrooms with eight occupants. Three people survived the incident but all of their belongings left in the blazing fire.

    According to residents of the area, one of the tenants did not sleep in the house during the fire incident.

    Those who survived in from the February 14, 2024, fire disaster includes two elderly men and a crawling child.

    Amongst the victims are two students of the Tiene-Wonde Public School, a walking child with their mother.

    Those who survived the incident are seeking assistance from the Government and its partners and the legislative caucus of Grand Cape Mount County.
