A swamp of Liberians, including relatives, friends and family of the late Representative Erol Madison Gwion joined members of the National Legislature Monday, February 5, 2024, to mourn the fallen lawmaker. Rep. Gwion passed away recently after a protracted illness.
During the official funeral ceremony held in the Rotunda of the Capitol Building, Deputy Speaker Thomas Fallah recounted the commitment and dedication to services of the fallen lawmaker, adding, “his services will always be remembered.”
“Today,” Deputy Speaker Fallah noted, “we gather not just as colleagues but as a close family to mourn the passing of a dedicated public servant.”
The deputy speaker spoke of the unwavering commitment to the people of Grand Gedeh County and the tireless efforts and services of the late Gwion to the nation, and says their commitment “will forever be etched in our hearts.”Mour
The late honorable Gwion was a Representative of Grand Gedeh district #1.
His remains were laid in State in the Rotunda of the Capitol Building, where colleagues, including the Vice President of the Republic Jeremiah Koung, Senate Pro-temp, Nyonblee Karnga Lawrence, and an array of family members, relatives, friends, and mourners in attendance to grace the occasion.
The ceremony reflected the profound impact of Hon. Gwion on the community and the nation as a whole.
The legacy of Rep. Erol Madison Gwion will endure through the memories of his dedication, passion, and selfless services to the people of Liberia.
