The newly elected District #2 Representative in Maryland County, Anthony Williams, has begun contributing to the healthcare delivery of his district. He has donated a brand-new Land Cruiser Ambulance to the health department in Pleebo City, Maryland County.
Rep. Willams has also donated to the health department drugs, 200 gallons of fuel oil, and other materials for the people of Pleebo District, in Maryland County.
Rep. Williams promised the people of Pleebo District doing his champaign that he would focus on the health sector because he wants his people to be healthy.
He further indicated that many of the people of his district were taking from different areas of the district and taken on Motorcycles to seek medical attention elsewhere.
In additions to the donations at the Pleebo health center, Rep. Williams further said that he would not come to the district and give only the ambulance to the health center without giving fuel oil for the smooth for the ambulance.
Rep. Williams put the total cost of fuel oil at LRD$200,000.00.
Speaking told journalists at the health center, Rep Williams said he also brought some medicine to buttress the efforts of the national government in terms of keeping the healthcare delivery system working.
The drugs and some medical materials, Williams disclosed, cost US$3000.00.
Acting mayor Hne has expressed the appreciation of the people of Pleebo and local administration. The acting mayor promised to work with the health center to make sure that the ambulance is maintained to serve the people of of Pleebo.
Meanwhile, Mr. Garrison N. Sayor, Pleebo Health Center administrator, expressed gratitude for the donation. Mr. Sayor promised the ambulance and other materials will be used for the growth and betterment of the health center in the district and county.
In receiving the ambulance Dr. Shadrack K. Gono, who is the resident doctor of Pleebo Health Center, expressed his appreciation to Rep. Williams for the donations. Dr. Gono expressed gratitude for the kind gesture.
Speaking also, Dr. Sir Doh. Freeman, County Health Officer in Maryland County, wholeheartedly thanked the lawmaker for donating brand new ambulance to the health center in the district.
Dr. Freeman promised that the County Health team will do everything possible to protect and keep the ambulance.
