The manager of Radio Harper FM91.9Mhz in Harper City, Maryland County, Edward Stemn, seems worried about the level of disunity persisting among local journalists in the County. Stemn says the level of animosity among journalist in the County causes serious problems to the profession.
Manager Stemn said that journalists have been having personal problems with each other long time ago. He said their acrimonious relationship with each other has affected the growth and development of the Maryland Press Association, and by extension the Press Union of Liberia (PUL). “That dispute in the house of the media is to good,” Stemn added.
The Liberia Media Council, an arm of Press Union of Liberia and which is responsible to investigate cases of journalists, is expected to investigate the long lasting disunity and amongst journalists in Maryland county.
Stemn then used the occasion to call on the Press Union of Liberia and the Liberia Media Council to quickly intervene to resolve problems amongst media practitioners in Maryland County.
