The Principal of the Amelia C. Wiles Public School, Ms. Rebecca Wondee Gaye, says her school received 25 armchairs from representatives or liaison officers of the Grand Gedeh Association in the Americas (GGAA).
Speaking to our correspondent in Zwedru, Madam Gaye said she received the 25 pieces of armchairs from in July 2016. She said it was a great help to her school, which is housed in a private building.
Madam Gaye disclosed that the school is hosting 426 students this semester. She noted that although the chairs were not sufficient, the school appreciated the Association, adding, “It is a help to us.”

However, Madam Gaye is pleading with the GGAA to help construct a school building for the institution because the building currently occupied is a private home. The Parent-Teacher Association or PTA is paying US$300 every semester; something she stressed is causing financial constraint for the school.
According to her, the institution was given one-and-half acres of land for construction and has commenced molding concrete blocks but needs further support.
Madam Rebecca Wondee Gaye told Groove 106FM that efforts have been applied in contacting relevant authorities for the construction of the school, including the education Minister George Warner since last year but she is yet to get positive response.
