Electoral District #7 Representative Foday Fahnbulleh is calling for an audit to be conducted on the past leadership of the County’s legislative caucus for alleged misappropriation of development funds.
Rep. Fahnbulleh said he will continue his advocacy for accountability to ensure that the county is developed void of corruption.
“There is no business as usual, we will ensure Bong County is developed,” he noted.
He stated that he played a vital role in advocating for the people of District #7 and Bong County prior to his ascendency and will not waver on his quest for accountable and responsible leadership in Bong.
He acknowledged the efforts of the past leadership but said auditing those who served positions will enable them to make informed decisions.
He made the statement when he appeared as guest on a local radio station in Gbarnga recently.
Rep. Fahnbulleh said he wonders why money allotted to the county was diverted with little or no efforts were made by the county leadership to probe the situation and prosecute those involved
He asserted that he would champion a review of the audit reports on the county, in addition to auditing the past leadership of the county for abandoned projects.
