Our Cape Mount Correspondent has reported that the Tienii Wonde Elementary, Jr & Senior high school is under attacked by an unknown persons, referred to by the locals as “criminals”.
Report says, the school has seen repeated attacks since the end of July and during the month of August 2025. Residents say there has been an increase of major criminal activities on the school campus.
The offices of three senior staffers were burglarized by an unknown person. The alleged criminals made away with some instructional materials, including four reams of papers, a ream of poster sheets, among other items yet to be identified.
Two new computers and two computers’ chargers were stolen from the computers lab.
Between August 26 and 28, 2024, two security lights were been stolen. The computers and the security lights were provided by IRISE, known as the” Improving Results in Secondary Education” through Ministry of Education.
There has been no arrest so far and residents believe no effors have been made by the school administration to either recover the items or arrest the perpetrators.
Our correspondent says, so far only the District Education Officer (DEO) has made significant effort by reporting the incidents to the Liberia National Police (LNP) assigned at the Tienii Police detachment.
