Liberian Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA) has arrested and forwarded two people to court for alleged possession of illegal narcotic substances and illicit trafficking in Grand gedeh County. The two individuals have already been charged.
The LDEA Grand Gedeh detachment arrested Emmanuel Dweh and Prince G. Gaye with “Kush” that worth LD$18,000 (or US$93.75) and forwarded them to Zwedru Magistrarial Court. They were charged for allegedly trafficking drugs and were arrested at gate five in Grand Gedeh County.
Messrs. Emmanuel Dweh and Prince Gaye admitted to the commission of the act, and they have told LDEA that they were carrying “Kush” from Barteh Jam gold mining camp to Zwedru when they arrested at gate five on Friday, February 14, 2024.
Lawrence S. Tarley, Chief of Operation at the LDEA Grand Gedeh detachment said the arrest of the suspects is in consonance with operational policies of LDEA.
LDEA Gedeh boss told our Correspondent that the two individuals were forwarded to court, and if found guilty, they will be dealt with in accordance with the laws.
