Exactly one day after the elections and induction of the speaker and deputy speaker, Unity Party Speaker candidate Richard Koon congratulated Speaker Koffa and Deputy Speaker Thomas Fallah for their victories.
Addressing members of the plenary and the presiding officer, Deputy Speaker Thomas Fallah on Tuesday January 16, 2024, in a regular session, Rep. Koon thanked the newly elected speaker, Cllr. J. Fonati Koffa and Deputy Speaker Thomas P. Fallah for their efforts applied in ensuring their win in respective positions.
He expressed him and what he called reformist group’s willingness to work with the new leadership of the house.
The UP Stewart then used the occasion to thank members of the 55th legislators who supported his speakership bid in the just ended election, adding that they would have done better if there were more resources and time to campaign fully.
