—But Veep Koung Has Ordered Wratto’s Release
By Gibson W Jerue
Jerry Nyantee Wratto, the political Prisoner of Vice President Jeremiah Koung, has been enduring tremendous torturous condition at the hands of Liberian police officers. My sources, very close to the matter say Jerry was even prevented by the police from eating on grounds that they are getting late to bring him to Monrovia.
Family members who called me said the officers used intimidation and harassing techniques, psychological torture and anguish to force confession out of Mr. Wratto. Mr. Wratto’s Miranda Rights were not read to him, but the police were forcing information out of him without a lawyer present.
It appears the police officers have concluded that Jerry is already guilty and only need to fight to prove himself innocent, a very opposite approach to the law.
Now, at the National Police headquarters on Capitol By-pass, the police have prevented family members seeing him, not to even talking about speaking with him. One family member said, “Jerry is hungry. The people refused to let him eat something coming from all the way from River Gee.” Another member, almost sobbing said, “Jeremiah Koung’s wickedness is up to God.”
Jerry Wratto has not been formally charged, that means his 48 hours of Constitution boundary will expire tonight. However, one police officer told Jerry in the presence of family members that he will remain in jail until Monday or Tuesday.
Vice President Jeremiah Koung ordered the Liberia National police to arrest and detained Jerry Nyantee Wratto because the Vice President claimed Jerry published an AI generated photo of Veep Koung standing before AI Brussel airport police without shirt on.
After one hour and thirty-two of the publication of my article, Vice President Jeremiah Koung published a release in which he told Police Inspector General to release Mr. Jerry Nyantee Wratto. See his full statement below:
