The Standard-bearer of the Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC), Sen. George M. Weah, has told his supporters, friends, sympathizers and partisans that they should be prepared to protect their votes at the November 7th Presidential run-off election.

Speaking to thousands of supporters of Movement for Democracy and Reconstruction (MDR) and the CDC in the commercial city of Ganta, Nimba County, Weah said that the CDCians are prepared to take charge of their votes, but Sen. Weah failed to state how the process of protecting their votes would be done.

The CDC strongman, whose presence locked down Ganta, said Liberians are yielding for change and there is nothing that can stop that change from happening now. “If election to goes second, third and fourth rounds, that change will certainly come, nothing can stop it and with God above that change will come and through us,” he said.

He intimated that his travelled from Monrovia to Ganta with people lining along the roadside shows that Liberians want change and they are tired with Unity party led government.

He promised that the expectation and the hope of the Liberian people would be jealously protected with blood and sweat. According to him, the return of Senator Johnson to the CDC is a clear manifestation that retirement of the Unity Party is just about the matter of days.

He noted during the 2005 Presidential run-off election, Senator Johnson, who at the time had won the senatorial seat for the time, joined forces with then the Congress for Democratic Change.

He pointed out that it is time opposition political parties and well meaning Liberians to come on board as the his team is destiny winning and the livelihood of the Liberian people will be change for the better.

He reemphasized that his government when elected democratically will be government of inclusion and every sector and key players will form his administration.
