“We want to care for our disabled and aging,” says Dr. Lawrence Bropleh, one of the representative candidates for Electoral District #3 in Grand Bassa County. He promised his attention will focus on the disabled and elderly communities.

Dr. Bropleh spoke Wednesday, August 2nd, when he appeared on a local radio in Buchanan City.

Bropleh said he has been working with other groups, including the Christian Association of the Blind, but stressed it is not sufficient. He said there is commission on disability but the people in Buchanan are not feeling the work of the commission.

Our agenda are focused on people who are differently able and people who are aging. The disrespect for our aging people is so unbelievable,” Bropleh said.

According to him, “When people are old and retired they need a decent living so that they can live with dignity and respect.” He said his plan is to focus on how the disabled and aging people can get back their respect and dignity.

Bropleh, now an Attorney-At-Law, also said the pension program should be rejuvenated and improved so that people who would receive pension will give them some hope.
