Various committees of the Liberian senate are expected to begin hearing for individuals President Joseph Boakai nominated for the various official positions, including cabinet ministers, directors and heads of parastatals.
Speaking in the chamber of the Liberian senate, Senator Nyonblee Kangar Lawrence pointed out that the exercise will start by 11am beginning with the Minister of Finance and Development Planning, Mr. Boima Kamara followed by the Commission General of the Liberia Revenue Authority designate, Mr. Dorbor Jallah
While the Minster for Presidential Affairs Sylvester Grigsby’s confirmation hearing takes place at 12noon of the same day.
Speaking further on the hearing, she also explained that Thursday February 1, 2024 at 2pm the confirmation hearing of Madam Sara Beysolow Nyanti Minister for Foreign Affairs Designate’s hearing will also be conducted.
For the inspector General of the Liberian National Police, Gregory Coleman, and the Liberia Drugs Enforcement Agency designate Abraham Kormah, the hearings will be conducted by 11 O’clock on Friday.
The confirmation hearing will continue on Monday February 5, 2024 when the committee on commerce and Industry will host Amin Modad, Commerce Minister designate.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Health will shortly be announced, she noted.
