Some 34 students at the William V.S Tubman University have good reason to be happy after they received honors. The Sorority Organization Intellectual Queens honored the students for brilliant performances.

Those honored and certificated for excellent academic performances were Anges D. Nimely, Angeline G. Jurry, Davidetta G. Karmbor, Annie J. Weah, and Deborah K. Weah. Others were Precious C. Martin, Patience Copeland, Thersa F. Jaylin, Vasti B. Martin, Trudy J. Lott, and Veroline B. Toe, amongst others.

Our Maryland Correspondent has reported that the honoring program was held at the AES cafeteria on the main campus of the William V. S Tubman University and brought together family members, loved ones, invitees, honorees and well-wisher.

The President of Intellectual Queens at the William V. S. Tubman University, Eunice Sua Seyakor, said the honoring program was in appreciation of the students’ performance during the 2017 school year at the institution. The students’ grades reached 3.5 and above GPA’s.

Miss Seyakor told Groove 106FM news that the Intellectual Queens is a sorority organization at the Tubman University with the mission to empower and inspire young women who are involved or affected by stress.

Seyakor added that more events are underway by her institution, calling females at the institution to study hard in order to be honored.

The students extended their thanks and appreciation to the Intellectual Queens and promised to work with the institution to help increase awareness to empower and inspire other young women.

Delivering his keynote address, Victor T. K. Morris praised the students. Morris is famously known in Maryland County for his role in the 2017 general and presidential election. As President of the Green Street Intellectual forum, he ensured contestants for the Harper District representative seat were presented their platforms at the forum.

Mr Morris said, “The change we want to see around us is within us.” He urged all students of the institution to take their lessons seriously and prove themselves by making Tubman University a better place for learning.

Mr. Morris then extended his thanks and appreciation to the Intellectual Queens for organizing such an important program and promised to work with the group to inspire and empower young women.
