KAKATA, Margibi County — Margibi County has received 16 of its allocated yellow machines under the government’s nationwide machinery initiative. He is expecting three additional machines for complete the county’s total allocation to 19.
The machines arrived in Margibi on Thursday, September 10, 2026, amid excitement from residents who welcomed the equipment as a major boost to road construction and infrastructure development in the county.
Margibi County Superintendent OJay Morris expressed gratitude to God and praised President Joseph Boakai for fulfilling his commitment to providing heavy-duty equipment to counties across Liberia.
Superintendent Morris said the machines will be used primarily to open and rehabilitate roads across Margibi County, particularly in communities that have long faced transportation challenges.
According to Morris, improved road connectivity will help create better living conditions for residents while also supporting economic activities and access to essential services.
In recognition of the arrival of the equipment, Superintendent Morris declared September 10 of every year as “Margibi Yellow Machines Day.”
The declaration is intended to commemorate what county authorities describe as a significant step toward improving road infrastructure and development across Margibi County.
