Grand Bassa County Senator Gbehzohngar Milton Findley has urged young people to embrace mistakes, ask questions and remain committed to learning as they pursue their personal and professional goals.
Senator Findley made the remarks on Wednesday while serving as keynote speaker at the launch of the first cohort of the Karishma Pelham-Raad Mentorship Program, held at the Paynesville City Hall.
He said mistakes and questions are important parts of the learning and growth process, encouraging young people not to allow fear of failure to discourage them from pursuing their ambitions.
The Grand Bassa lawmaker also urged participants to set clear goals and work diligently toward achieving them, emphasizing ambition, determination and commitment as key ingredients for personal success.
Senator Findley further cautioned young people against placing unnecessary pressure on themselves to become what others expect of them.
Instead, he encouraged them to identify and pursue their passions while developing discipline, respect and obedience, which he described as important values for success.
Meanwhile, Karishma Raad, Chief Executive Officer of the Karishma Pelham-Raad Mentorship Program, highlighted the importance of the initiative, saying the program seeks to plant seeds of hope among young Liberians and contribute to the transformation of the country.
