The Grand Gedeh Association under the Fred Gwyan administration earmarked a market building project. The project is nearing completion, but of the $30,000, project Liaison Officer in Zwedru says $15,000 is outstanding.
Speaking to our correspondent in Zwedru recently Peter Shilue Bailey said the association is undertaking a thirty thousand ($30,000) United States Dollars market building project and three thousand ($3,000) worth of three hundred pieces of arm chairs in Grand Gedeh County.
Peter Bailey said those projects have been financed by the administration of the ousted president of the GGAA, Mr. Fred Tarlue Gwyan, and his suspended Vice President Levi Kahn. The project started since last year July but got delayed due to the deplorable road condition caused by the rainy season.
At the same time, quoting the engineer of the market building project, he said it will be completed and delegated on July 26 of this year.
The Liaison Officer mentioned that the committee representing the Grand Gedeh Association in the Americas in the county comprises of himself, as coordinator of Tchien District, Lloyd Nyoneo Farley of Gbarzon District and Neah Tarley representing the Konobo District.
Mr. Bailey then used the opportunity to commend his kinsmen in the diaspora for engaging into substantial developments that will impact the lives of the residence and citizens of Grand Gedeh County.
When contacted via phone from Monrovia, the chief engineer, Jerry O. Brown of OBJ General Merchandise for Construction and Services confirmed the project and assured the public that the project will be completed and turned over 26th July.
Jerry O. Brown said the market building consists of two offices, one bath room one store room and a hall that will accommodate one hundred tables for marketers.
