An eminent son of Tolomai Town in Jorquelleh District #2, Mr. Moses Dillon has launched a passionate plea for the establishment of a mobile clinic in the town.
Tolomai is located in the far north of the district. There is no health facility in the town, which leaves residents of the town and surrounding villages to travel far distances to seek medical emergencies.
Mr. Dillon disclosed that community members often travel several miles to Gbarnga or the Mano-Wainsue Clinic to purchase drugs and seek medical services, a situation he described as a serious challenge, especially during emergencies.
He believes a mobile clinic will help alleviate the suffering of the people and improve the healthcare delivery in the area.
In addition to their health concern, Mr. Dillon has highlighted limited government-employed teachers, and lack of safe drinking water at the school as major challenges affecting the quality of education in the region.
The Kolleh-Worlapue Public School Principal is therefore calling on the Ministry of Education and other stakeholders to intervene in addressing these challenges.
Mr. Dillon is urging the deployment of trained teachers to the school and the provision of necessary learning materials to ensure that children in Tolomai receive quality education like their peers in other parts of the country.
