–Police IG Gregory Coleman Claws A Soft Target To Prove Tough

Introduction
Today, September 21, 2026, Police Inspector General (IG) Gregory Coleman responded to Vice President Jeremiah Koung’s empty flagrant political stunt in public statement published yesterday on Veep’s social media platform. In his diabolic response, contained in a letter to the Veep, Mr. Coleman acknowledged what he calls the Vice President’s “compassion” for political prisoner Jerry Nyantee Wratto alleged criminal act. That criminal act in my perspective is that Jerry published an Artificial Intelligence (AI) generated image in which Vice President Koung was portrayed standing without shirt. The image was itself reportedly computer-generated, which Jerry did not do himself.
First, let’s ask a legal question that must be juxtaposed with the facts of the matter. “Can an AI-generated image that portrays the Vice President without shirt be considered the actual image of the Vice President? We will answer this question as we go deeper into our series.
Now, let’s consider a few pointers from Gregory’s letter:
- That the police have evidence to charge Mr. Wratto and there was no way he would listen to the Vice President call to release Jerry.
- That the Vice President’s declaration that he is not interested in pressing charges bears no nuts.
- That Jerry will be charged tomorrow, September 22, 2026, with four crimes he may have committed. Note that today, September 21st, the 48-hour constitutional guarantee within which a suspect must be charged and sent to court. An additional 24-hour violates Jerry’s Constitutional rights having been detained for 72 hours.
- For the purpose of this introductory piece, the charges expected to slammed Jerry are “Misuse of Devices”, “Cyberstalking”, “Distribution of Data Messages That Incite Damage or Violence”; and “Distribution of Harmful data Messages.” We will discuss them one-by-one in subsequent articles.
- That Jerry is in violation of the four crimes enshrined in the approved Cybercrime Act of July 3, 2026. The title of the Act is “An Act to Provide For The Prohibition, Prevention, Detection, Response, And Prosecution of Cybercrime to be Known as Cybercrime Act of 2025.”
The Cybercrime law, my understanding is, started more than three years ago. The Bill was lying idle in the House of Representatives and later made its way to the Senate. The Senate made additional changes to the law, but it did not go back to the House of Representatives as it should have, for concurrence, once the Senate altered any part of the Bill. At least that is what I learned. If I would describe the passing of the Bill, I would say it was “HASTY”, as it did not involve the inputs of experts to the best of my understanding. But the law is here. What remains is whether it conflicts with the Constitution or other statutes before it. That and many other topics will be the essence of this multi-purpose series. Stay tuned.
