The ousted administration of Fred Gwyan claims it is sponsoring 75 students at various universities in Monrovia, Liberia. The total amount spent so far remains doubtful, but one of the liaison officers, William Vour Quiah says $1,500 USD have been spent twice.

Commenting on students being given financial assistance at various universities or colleges, Mr. Quiah, who is Deputy Liaison Officer of the Grand Gedeh Association in the Americas based in Monrovia, said in 2016 they received $1500.00 USD.

He disclosed that the same amount was received this year (2017) from the Association for three students initially at the A. M. Dogliotti College of Medicine and have increased the number to five.

He named some of the beneficiaries at A. M. Dogliotti College of Medicine as Shed Tarley, Vivian Delayee and Tebo Boduo.

Speaking further, Mr. Quiah said the financial aid of the GGAA has being divided into two categories: Medical Students at the A. M. Dogliotti College of Medicine, and the undergraduate students at the University of Liberia (UL).

The Deputy Liaison Officer of the GGAA said 75 students attending UL have benefited from the Association’s financial aid with the amount of $3,700 USD but was paid directly at UL’s account through Eco-Bank, Monrovia branch to minimize corrupt practices in the process.

William Vour Qiah fell short of saying exactly how much dollars received from GGAA during the past semester. He said the liaison office distributed $40 USD each to 70 students, amounting to $ 2,800.00 USD.
